Aim and Scope

East African Journal of Crime and Security (EAJCS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research and policy discourse in criminology, security studies, criminal justice, and related disciplines. The journal publishes high-quality empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented research that contributes to understanding crime, justice systems, public safety, and security challenges, with particular emphasis on East Africa, the Horn of Africa, and comparable contexts.

The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and academics whose work promotes evidence-based approaches to crime prevention, justice sector reforms, security governance, and community safety.
