The Journal of Armed Conflicts in East and Horn of Africa is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing empirical and theoretical research on armed conflicts, political violence, peace, and security in East and the Horn of Africa. The journal provides a platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share high-quality, policy-relevant work that deepens understanding of conflict dynamics and strategies for peacebuilding in the region.

Focus and Scope

The journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Peacebuilding & conflict resolution

  • Regional stability and diplomacy

Interdisciplinary approaches combining conflict studies with political science, development, security governance, human rights, or peacebuilding are also encouraged.
