About the Journal

Sub-Saharan Journal of Philosophy and Ethics (SSJPE) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that publishes original research, ethical analysis, and theoretical contributions in the fields of African philosophy, moral theory, and applied ethics. The journal provides a platform for African and global scholars to explore contemporary moral challenges, traditional wisdom systems, social justice reforms, and the philosophical foundations of African identity.

Focus and Scope

The journal welcomes scholarly submissions on:

  • African Metaphysics and Epistemology: Indigenous knowledge systems and traditional worldviews.

  • Ubuntu and Relational Ethics: Communal moral frameworks and personhood.
