About the Journal

The East African Journal of Early Childhood Education is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research on early childhood development, learning, and education policy in East and the Horn of Africa. The journal provides a platform for scholars, educators, and policymakers to share high-quality, evidence-based work that informs practice and supports the holistic development of young children across the region.

Focus and Scope

The journal covers topics including, but not limited to:

  • Early childhood development and learning outcomes

  • Pedagogical methods and curriculum design

  • Inclusive and equitable education practices

  • Teacher training and professional development

  • Education policy and program evaluation

  • Family and community engagement in early learning

Interdisciplinary research combining education with psychology, social development, health, or governance is also encouraged.
