The East African Journal of Early Childhood Education is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research on early childhood development, learning, and education policy in East and the Horn of Africa. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available supports global knowledge exchange. Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), allowing non-commercial use, sharing, and adaptation with proper attribution.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
To support open-access publishing, the journal charges a reasonable Article Processing Charge (APC) of 55 USD, payable only upon acceptance. Fee waivers or adjustments may be considered in special circumstances.

Founded in 2025, the East African Journal of Early Childhood Education aims to strengthen research and policy dialogue on early learning in the region, elevating African perspectives in global education discourse.
