About the Journal
African Ecodiversity Systems Journal (AESJ) is a double-blind peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge on the ecology, ecosystems, and biodiversity sciences across Africa and comparable regions globally. The AESJ aims to promote the dissemination of high-quality research on biodiversity, ecosystems, and ecological processes while advancing understanding of ecosystem functioning, resilience, and sustainability in Africa. It provides an interdisciplinary platform linking ecological science with conservation, climate change, and human systems, supports evidence-based environmental management and policy in Africa, and fosters collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and institutions within the field of Ecology and biodiversity. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, short communications, methodological papers, and policy and perspective papers across academia and industrial fields. The AESJ encourages integration across ecology and conservation biology, climate science and environmental management, geography, hydrology, earth systems science, and social sciences related to sustainability.
