Similarity and AI checks
HRL Journal Service offers optional similarity and AI check support for authors, researchers, postgraduate students, institutions and other clients who need to review the originality profile of academic or professional documents. This can be requested whether or not the intention is to publish with HRL Journal Service.
Clients may use the report for different purposes, including journal submission, institutional review, postgraduate examination, supervisor feedback, internal quality assurance, manuscript revision or submission to another publisher. The service helps clients understand similarity levels, citation overlap, matched text and possible AI-writing indicators before formal submission or circulation.
HRL Journal Service uses Turnitin software for similarity checking. Reports are normally ready within approximately two hours after the document and payment confirmation have been received.
Similarity Check
Suitable for checking text overlap, citation similarity, quoted material, reference-related overlap and areas that may require author review.
AI Check Only
Suitable for clients who only want an AI-writing indicator report without requesting a full similarity report.
Similarity + AI Check
Suitable for clients who want both similarity review and AI-writing indicator review in one request.
What Can Be Checked?
- Journal articles and manuscripts.
- Book reviews and review papers.
- Theses, dissertations and proposals.
- Research reports, policy papers and institutional documents.
- Abstracts, chapters and academic submissions.
- Documents intended for another journal, university, organisation or publisher.
Important Note
A similarity or AI check report is an advisory tool. It helps the client review the document and identify areas that may require attention, but it does not by itself determine originality, academic misconduct, authorship, acceptance or rejection. The client remains responsible for reviewing the report and making any necessary corrections, citations or revisions.
