Consultant - Conflict, Politics, Security, and Development

Khabure is a Kenyan consultant with over twenty years’ experience in political economy, conflict and security analysis across the globe and mainly in Africa. I have held several local. national and regional positions in this sector and I have worked from the lowest locality with grassroots communities to the highest levels of policy and advocacy influencing at the UN Security Council (UNSC), The State Department- Washington, European Union (EU) and so on.

I provide advise, research and analysis to inform and generate actions, strategies and policies for the betterment of the world especially those in strife in terms of conflict reduction, peacebuilding, peaceful coexistence, security, good politics and sound policies. I work for a broad range of actors within think tanks, bi and multi-lateral, non-governmental, governmental and public sector institutions and private sector.

I provide evidence-based research (field and home based) and analysis on conflict, political issues and related areas aimed at influencing global, regional, national and local platforms in political inclusion and cohesion, risk reduction, peace and reconciliation, women’ and youth empowerment.

In addition to my background and credentials I bring rigorous approach to any conflict, political economy, research work because of my training in philosophy. I have broad network of contacts both formal and informal that is critical for this work. I have been involved in landmark mediation and peace processes in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Somalia/Somaliland, Sudan and South Sudan and I am an accredited member in the mediation rooster for key world organisations.

I am published in academic journals and in other public sources. and I am multi-lingual. Louise Khabure is an independent, Kenyan consultant with over 18 years’ work and research experience in the field of political economy, conflict management and elections spanning several regions in the African continent.
