Dr Malik Doka Morjan is a distinguished South Sudanese wildlife biologist and conservation scientist with extensive experience in wildlife conservation, environmental management, academic leadership, and public sector governance. He currently serves as Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies at the University of Juba.
He holds a PhD in Environmental Conservation, an MSc in Conservation Biology, and a BSc in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies. His academic and professional work has made significant contributions to conservation research, university teaching, postgraduate supervision, and the development of conservation science in South Sudan and the wider region.
Dr Malik has also served as Undersecretary in the Ministry of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism in the Republic of South Sudan, where he contributed to environmental governance, institutional leadership, and national wildlife conservation policy. His work reflects a strong commitment to biodiversity protection, sustainable natural resource management, and capacity building in conservation practice.
