Dr John Leju Celestino Ladu is an accomplished environmental scientist with strong academic and professional expertise in environmental engineering, hydrology, water resources, biodiversity conservation, and natural resource management. His work reflects a deep commitment to environmental research, sustainable development, and the advancement of environmental scholarship in Africa.
He holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering and a postdoctoral qualification from Southeast University, China. He also holds an MSc in Hydrology and Water Resources and a BSc in Environmental Studies. This multidisciplinary academic background has shaped his strong research profile in environmental systems, water resources, pollution control, climate change, and ecosystem management.
Dr Ladu has extensive experience across academia, government advisory work, and environmental consultancy. He has served as Associate Professor and Deputy Dean at the University of Juba, while also undertaking senior technical and advisory roles in national ministries and international environmental programmes.
